Phnom Chhngok Cave Temple
The Phnom Chhngok cave is home to an ancient brick-built cave temple dedicated to Shiva dating back to the century.
Located around 10 km northeast of Kampot, this cave is home to an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. Built of brick, it dates back to the 7th century. Sanskrit inscriptions can be found on the cave walls. It was later used as a place of meditation by Buddhists. The place is well worth a visit, and in addition to discovering this mysterious cave, accessible after climbing several steps, the site offers a superb view of the surrounding area.
