NATIONAL LIBRARY
Library in Phnom Penh with a wealth of literature, including over 100,000 books in a variety of languages.
Built in 1924 and recently renovated thanks to the initiative of the French Embassy, during the war it housed members of the Khmer Rouge regime, who destroyed over 80% of the library's books. Reopened in 1980 with the help of a number of countries, it now houses a rich collection of literature, with a total of over 100,000 works in various languages. It includes biographies of Hô Chi Minh, Marx and Mao. It's well worth a visit, with its Art Deco style and beautiful garden, which can be viewed during opening hours.
