ÉGLISE CATHOLIQUE ST. JOSEPH
This beautiful building in the Russey Keo district is the only Christian building not to have been destroyed by the Khmer Rouge...
Located in the Phsar Toch district, this former seminary was converted into a chapel after the destruction of Christian places of worship by the Khmer Rouge. Close to the Tonlé Sap River, this beautiful elongated edifice is one of the few Christian buildings to survive from this period, along with the Chapel of Providence. For the record, before 1975, the cathedral stood proudly opposite Wat Phnom (at the end of Hôtel Royal street). The new cathedral was completed in 2025.
