Travel Guide Dafra

The sacred Dafra silures are located about 10 km from Bobo. From Bobo, by car (4 x 4 strongly recommended) or by bike, go to Sarfalao (southern Bobo area), take the runway along the graveyard, continue straight down the track through garlic areas, fairly narrow in some places (do not discourage!); or go through Koro (once in Koro, ask the villagers to get the right track). Depending on the point of arrival, count between 45 minutes and 1 hour walk in the heart of the relic forests, a very nice walk with steep passages, to reach the sacred site where the Tolé takes its source. Dafra is a site of sacrifice, there is no right of entry, but it is recommended to go there with a chicken that will be sacrificed to giant silures that grow at the source… sensitive souls abstain. This sacrifice will express all wishes. It is forbidden to go to Dafra with red clothes and it is also forbidden to take photos on the site of sacrifice. During the dry season, this protected site remains fresh and contains endangered plant species. Hopefully, you will meet the huge varans that live in this sacred place.
