The maritime museum is on board the Portland, the last steam tug still operating in the United States. Built in 1947 and classified as a historic building, it advances thanks to the rotation of its large paddle wheel in the rear. A guided tour of the steamer, from the machine room at the cockpit, will allow you to learn more about local maritime history and navigation on the Columbia and Willamette rivers.
