It presents the history of Mount St. Helens Formation - and volcanoes in general - using interactive models and presentations. A 15-minute film tells the 1980 eruption. Behind the centre, a small trail leads to a small lake, the Silver Lake, with a view on the mount, to the east. Other trails leave Wetlands. A souvenir shop is at the entrance to the centre.
