NATIVITY CHURCH

The very dashing cathedral illustrates the Stroganov style, named after an influential family of merchants and patrons, which was very fashionable in the religious architecture of the 17th and 18th centuries. The cupolas are gathered and raised, while the columns give a classical air to the ensemble. The interior is also worth a visit. The church was almost destroyed during the USSR, but was narrowly saved in the name of the cultural importance of the Stroganov Baroque style.
