FK OLIMPIETS

The current Olimpiets FK is a very young club, born in 2015. It is evolving for the 2017/2018 season in the National Football League (League 2), after having arrived first of the Professional League championship the previous year. The Olimpiets is actually the former reserve club of Volga Nijni Novgorod's Volga Nijni-Novgorod, set up in 1998 and the key to financial reasons in 2016. Before that, there was a Volga Gorki FK created in 1963 by merger of the FK Torpedo and FK Raketa, 14 th of the Soviet championship in 1964 (its best result), and dismantled in 1984. And then there's also the FK Torpedo-Viktorya, active intermittently in the third division of 1932 until 2003, and that is actually also an heir to the first Torpedo.
