Bridgend's hotel, at the crossroads of Islay, is home to one of the best pub-restaurants on the island. The bar area - named Katie's Bar after their retired octogenarian barmaid - is more relaxed and offers a cheaper menu, while the restaurant is more classic and sophisticated. They both cook with local and seasonal produce. Whatever you choose, the dishes are well-presented and the content is successful, with inventive local dishes to satisfy all tastes. In the evenings, reservation is recommended.
