THE STEWARTRY MUSEUM

Founded in 1879 and installed in its current premises in 1893, this interesting little museum tells the story of this area of Dumfries & Galloway called the Stewartry. Man and nature both have their place and societies of the th and th centuries are very well treated. His Victorian charm has remained and temporary exhibitions are sometimes held.
