Hidden behind the 172-year-old historic facade of Lady Glenorchy Church, the Glasshouse Hote combines luxury, class and elegance to perfection. Most of the 77 comfortable and contemporary rooms, including 20 suites, have a balcony or private lounge area. The hotel has Edinburgh's most secret garden, a small haven of peace and tranquillity set on the 2 acre rooftop with spectacular views of the city centre and Calton Hill. We also really enjoy the restaurant and whisky bar.

Really bad hotel service, the reception within nagetive attitude to the customer and ignore customers's feeling. Really bad experience.

We had a beautiful experience having Afternoon Tea at The Glasshouse recently. The location was incredibly comfortable, the service was outstanding and the food delicious. If you can, pick one of the seating spots by the fire. They are perfect and so cosy. One to repeat in the future, hopefully. I would like to highlight Jonathan, the lovely worker who showed us our way and gave us a lot of insights and information.

For pros, the staff was excellent - every interaction I had was wonderful - and the outdoor courtyard looking up on Calton Hill is absolutely stunning. I brought a glass of wine out there on a sunny evening and it was total bliss. The room was clean, and common areas were well maintained.
I would rate the location as neutral. It’s good, but I still felt like everything I wanted to do was at least a 10-20 min walk. Next time I’m in Edinburgh, I’ll probably stay somewhere closer to Waverly Station at this price point, or if I stay at this hotel again, I would book a less expensive room. If booking a suite, I would recommend calling ahead to discuss which room you are getting.
