The hotel and rooms are fantastic.
We are here in my spouse's hometown for a big milestone birthday at her preferred hotel, which I gave plenty of notes on, hoping for a little something extra. But zilch at the front desk or in our room.
The bar staff saved the day, offering a little treat when, after asking why we were staying, told them it was a big birthday. Thank you!

Solo estuvimos una noche en Edimburgo y el hotel estuvo muy bien, recomiendo mucho que se hospeden ahí. Cuanfo vuelva sin dudarlo me hospedo nuevamente. El servicio, la comida y las habitaciones son muy buenos.

We arrived Christmas morning 2023, and were greeted by two young women that were quite professional and welcoming. We checked into our room and there was a gift holiday cookies with a note welcoming us for the holiday. Such a very nice gesture. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel clean and staff exceptional. Great location too. I highly recommend this hotel. Sorry to do the review three months later. Thank you again for making our stay at the hotel a great one.

1. Atención de primera desde que llegamos.
2. Ubicación perfecta literal a unos pasos de la estación de trenes. Si no te ubicas en Edimburgo, es justo a la mitad entre el nuevo Edimburgo y el viejo Edimburgo.
3. El cuarto súper limpio, instalaciones de primera, la cama super cómoda.
4. Sus ammenities de hotel 5⭐, pantuflas, cafetera Nespresso, frigobar, si eres mujer vas amar que tienen secadora (Dyson), plancha, espejo con luz, y espejo de cuerpo entero.
5. Nos aceptaron guardar el equipaje antes del check in, tienen baños para que te cambies, hermosos, y súper limpios.
6. No fui al bar, pero su vista es hermosa desde el piso 7.

My review is an odd one but I wanted to make sure and give them some well deserved praise for their customer service.
My husband and I didn’t get a chance to actually stay at the hotel but I initially booked our stay based on other reviews, newness/cleanliness of the rooms and proximity to the train. I did however experience their customer service via phone whilst canceling our stay, unfortunately. I’ve never been so sad not to stay at a hotel. The kindness, quickness, flexibility and accommodation I received made my heart swell and tears gather in my eyes.
From an American who is not used to being treated so humanely - We will be back to Edinburgh at some point and I will 100% will be staying here.

Stylish hotel in an unbeatably central/convenient location for both the Old Town and the New Town.
Really nice touches throughout (e.g. Dyson hair dryers, umbrellas for guest use in all the rooms, Roberts bluetooth speakers, excellent complimentary mini bars).

Best hotel stay I have had that I can remember. The room was immaculately cleaned and serviced daily. The maid service was the best part! Very quiet for such a great location. Quick check in and out. Wonderful complimentary snacks and drinks. Loved the soap smells. 10/10.

Great stay! I strongly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast with champagne was delicious! Thanks for a great stay.

It was our good fortune to book Market Street Hotel for a stopover on our way north to our daughters wedding. From the moment we walked through the door and were met by Miles, Concierge extraordinaire, to the greeting on the 7th floor check-in, we knew we had made the right choice. Everything about this hotel is done with guest comfort and satisfaction at its core. Greeted by a smile and a glass of champagne, it even gets better when opening your room door to find out what awaits. A comfortable bed, complimentary well stocked mini bar, top of the range personal accessories including Dyson hairdryer, coffee pod machine and milk frother. There is even a clothes steamer. No expense has been spared. I can’t wait to return and have found a hotel that leaves me in no doubt as to where I will stay on my next visit to Edinburgh. Thank you Market Street Hotel, you hit the mark admirably!

This is an awesome hotel with great amenities. The rooms are bright, the shower has great water pressure, bed was comfortable and the restocked treats and complimentary mini bar was a nice surprise. I loved how both Old and New Edinburgh were so easily accessible. I loved how all the electronics and hairstyling gadgets were high quality brands (Dyson, GHD). It's worth the extra money to stay here because of the comfort factor.

The bed was set up as twins pulled together and although thin mattresses they were surprisingly comfortable. The shower is okay with two heads and the air conditioner was nice and cold. The breakfast each morning was delicious and was a great way to start the day. The entire staff of the hotel were fantastic and a big shoutout to the concierge, Myles (or Miles) who went above and beyond in multiple ways to create a great Scotland stay. He was extremely helpful in multiple ways. Peter who greeted us in the lobby (I think he is technically the hotel handyman) and we ran into him multiple times during our visit was super kind and welcoming. The dining staff were efficient and very kind. While the hotel team was a highlight… we also enjoyed the location. Near the Royal Mile, train station, Scott Memorial, and much more.
