CERÁMICA NEGRA DE CUDILLERO

Since 1982, Dulce Carbajal has been making beautiful black ceramic objects that she sells in her shop-workshop, hidden in a small alley in the centre of town. Candleholders, clocks, traditional kitchen utensils and vases, you will find all kinds of objects, decorated with Celtic motifs. The clay she works with comes from the area, and is initially red in colour and then takes on its black colour when oxygen is extracted, according to Asturian tradition.
