SANTURTZI ITSAS MUSEOA

This museum of the sea, which occupies the emblematic building of the fishermen's guild, offers a journey through the maritime history of Santurtzi. You will discover the fascinating history of the famous Basque smugglers of the 16th century, the tradition of the dragger regattas or the figure of the sardine sellers. Guided or dramatized tours of the museum are organized, and can be followed by the discovery of a traditional fishing boat from 1968, the Agurtza, to discover the secrets of tuna fishing.
