CLIFF ROAD: LA GALEA AND AIXERROTA

Often compared to the white chalk cliffs of Normandy, the Galea cliffs, formed under the sea over a period of 60 million years, offer a superb walk along the Getxo coastline. The site preserves several remarkable sites, including the La Galea fort, a fine example of ^18th-century military construction, the Aixerrota mill, built in the ^18th century, and the cemetery. The ocean views from here are extraordinary. A must-see.
