This hostal offers modern, comfortable rooms in an attractive building in the historic center, just a stone's throw from Santiago Cathedral. Equipped with private bathrooms and wi-fi, the rooms have a sober, pleasant decor, with beautiful antique parquet floors. You'll also appreciate the on-site services, such as bicycle rental. Beware, however, if you're a light sleeper: there are thin walls between each room... Finally, note that the guesthouse is located on the third floor, without an elevator!

La ubicación excelente, justo al lado de la catedral. Todo estaba limpio y olía a desinfectante al entrar el primer día, la habitación y baño muy espaciosa. El personal muy amable, tanto recepción como personal de limpieza.

We have visited Casual hotels in Spain before and got to experience Casual in Bilbao this time.

Unfortunately, we are less positive than on the occasions in the other cities.
If you look at the price and the quality then it's good ..
But we think the hotel really has to rely on its location as it is great.

The rooms are just very dated, austere and a bit dirty. Also, our room had a floor that made a huge noise when walking and the carpet in the halls was not clean.
We were only there for two nights and took no action because of this. We wanted to enjoy the city for one day.

It's such a fantastic location that also can be the problem when the maintenance is not good. Keep an eye on that.

But what we said... Look at the price, what more can you expect maybe.

The staff at Casual Gurea were really welcoming and helpful with us. The location is excellent - right in the heart of the old town but no noise disturbance from outside. One of the few places in Bilbao we could find with family rooms and it was really quite spacious to boot. Rooms were basic but very comfortable and offered very good value for money!
