MUSEO ZUMALAKARREGI

This museum is located in the Casa Iriarte-Erdikoa, a typical 18th century Basque caserío, which was the childhood home of Carlist general Tomás de Zumalacárregui (1788-1835). Its permanent collection traces the history of the Carlist Wars through military and personal objects of the general and his family. Long-view, weapons, period uniforms, etc. are exhibited in different sections and are complemented by a collection of 4,000 documents and a rich library specialising in the 19th century. An interesting account of the Basque Country in the 19th century!
