ARALAR NATURAL PARK

The park is located in the heart of the Aralar mountain range, in the south-eastern part of Gipuzkoa, on the border with Navarre. It is 20 km long and has an average altitude of 900 to 1,000 m. It can be reached from the villages of Ataun and Abaltzisketa. It is a wild and rich area with many megalithic monuments and limestone landscapes. The highest peak is Mount Txindoki, which is 1,300 m high. The park has an interpretation centre in the village of Ataun where you can learn about the different hikes.
