Beautiful walk in a quiet place where you can admire a monumental sculpture by Jorge Oteiza in Donostia
This beautiful promenade, inaugurated in 1916, goes around Mount Urgull from the port to the Parte Vieja. On stormy days, only the boldest come to enjoy the majestic spectacle of the waves breaking over its ramparts. There is a monumental sculpture by Jorge Oteiza, Construción vacía ("Empty building"). The place is usually quiet, although crowds flock here in August to enjoy the attractions of the Semana Grande and then in September to watch the Bandera de la Concha competitions.
