CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION

Pierre le Grand took part in the laying of the foundation stone of this cathedral, which houses a superb iconostasis made entirely of wood measuring more than 15 metres. Opposite the iconostasis, one can see very original paintings for a Russian Orthodox church, with scenes from the Old Testament. Just next to it, one can admire a very beautiful representation of the Last Judgement, Heaven and Hell. But the frescoes do not say on which side of the Divine Judgement the Cossacks ended...
