KOSTROMA TOWN SQUARE

Seven main streets converge on this central square like a spider's web, overhung by the Firemen's Tower (19th century) which offers a panorama of the whole city. All the administrative buildings and its hall built in the Empire style of Catherine II are grouped around this Soussaninskaya square. At the end of the central street, one can see the red gallery, the domes and the green roofs announcing the Church of the Transfiguration of the Saviour.
