SOUNGUIR ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE

It is here, that during a romantic walk, two lovers found a fragment of a mammoth's tusk. Since then, scientists have investigated the place, which has become one of the most important excavation fields in the region. Paleontologists from all over the world work here to reveal the remains of the Upper Paleolithic: weapons, objects, and also skeletons, with their accessories, all displayed on the first floor of the Vladimir History Museum.
