SVIATO-VVEDENSKY MONASTERY

The Sviato-vvedensky women's monastery is one of the most interesting religious buildings in the city. It was returned to the Orthodox Church in 1991 and was used as an archive during the Soviet period, despite the mobilization of the sisters. The red-brick monastery itself is surrounded by a fortress built in the same architectural style. Its Gothic architecture gives it a unique style that stands out strongly in the small town of Ivanovo!
