CHURCH OF THE ARCHANGEL MIKHAIL

It is a very beautiful building, built in the purest Yaroslav style, i.e. with a small porch similar to a house, a sloping roof under the traditional Russian bulbs, its patterned earthenware friezes and the choice of brick as the preferred material. Like many of its neighbours, the church suffered under the USSR, but today it is in good condition again. Every year the Transfiguration Festival takes place there, with a competition of songs and chimes.
