The cathedral was built at XVIe siècle in place of two churches dating from the 12th and XIIIe siècles respectively. Don't miss its restored frescoes, inside, in addition to a 1730 baroque iconostasis, you can see the tomb of metropolitan Ionas Sisoievitch. The tradition of bells, so alive in all the cities of the Golden Ring, is even more sensitive here. Today they are still rung by hand, on the string and by pressing the pedals.
