CARDIFF CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION

Train

The main station, Cardiff Central, provides easy access to most Welsh towns and some English cities. To the south: direct services to Merthyr Tydfil, from where you can reach the town of Brecon; Swansea, the main town on the Gower Peninsula; Chepstow in the Wye Valley... The Cardiff-London Paddington journey takes around two hours (departures every half-hour, round trip: between £40 and £100 depending on time of year and timetable).

CARDIFF BUS

Coach operator

The local bus company runs the Cardiff and Barry routes exclusively. Tickets can be purchased at Cardiff Central Library (The Hayes) or directly on the bus (in cash, remember to top up, or by contactless credit card). Cardiff is very well served and the bus will take you quickly from the center to the bay, usually from 6am until 11pm on average. Don't hesitate to check their website for information on any disruptions or works on your route.

CARDIFF INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Airport and passenger services

The airport is located some 20 km south of Cardiff. There are direct flights to Paris, Marseille and Bordeaux. To reach the center of Cardiff, you can take the train from Rhoose station, which is close to the airport. Bus 905 takes you to the station, where you can catch a train to all major cities in Wales. Bus 304 also passes through the station and continues on to Cardiff city center.
