YAKUSHIMA ENVIRONMENTAL AND CULTURAL VILLAGE CENTER

This site is both a museum and an educational space for understanding the environment of the island. Slide shows, videos, photographic exhibitions explain the configuration of Yakushima and its evolution during the last three centuries with deforestation, and then the creation of a protected zone, inscribed in the World Heritage of Nature. You can also retrieve maps and brochures.
