YUFU-DAKE (1585 M)

The climb is completed in 1.5 hours. At the foot of Mount Yufu-dake, there are about 100 different herbs and nearly 200 plants spread throughout Kyūshū. This mountain, which is 1584 meters high, is still called Bungo Fuji, which means it is considered the Mount Fuji of Ōita. You can see some rather rustic carts or carriages, which allow for a nonchalant walk around the area. You have to take a bus from Komenoi Station to Yufu Tozan-guchi, then follow the signs for the climb.
