MUSÉE PRÉFECTORAL DE LA NATURE ET D'HISTOIRE

This museum is dedicated to the natural history and history of Miyazaki Prefecture. It opened in 1971, not far from the Miyazaki-jingu shrine. It houses permanent exhibitions (free of charge) as well as temporary exhibitions. It presents a variety of plants and animals in reproductions of their natural habitats, but also elements of the industry through the history of Miyazaki. The only drawback is that the explanations are only given in Japanese.
