ŌHORI-KOEN

This park is a real green lung in the heart of the city. Opened in 1929, thanks to the landscaping work done for the Fukuoka Industrial Exhibition in 1927, Ohori Park is worth a visit. With its pond, walking paths, beautiful pine trees and omnipresent fauna, it can be enjoyed at any time of the day. The vermilion-red Ukimi Pavilion, overlooking the water's surface, is a favorite spot for couples on a stroll. You can take a break at the lovely cafe/tea house & LOCALS to the south.
