HAKATAMACHIYA FURUSATOKAN

This folklore museum, located near Kushida-jinja, traces the history of Hakata. The life and culture of Hakata, mainly from the Meiji and Taisho eras, are presented from different angles in this museum. You can discover the very open side of the city, even its unconventional temperament, as well as its numerous festivals and ancestral traditions. This small museum is fun and interactive and well worth a visit. Admission is free for children.
