Built during the Tenryaku era (947 to 957) of the Heian period, Fukuzenji Temple is one of the sites of interest in the fishing port. One appreciates especially the exceptional life that the site has to offer. It is indeed built on a stone wall directly overlooking the inland sea. It was a place of reception for diplomatic missions, especially those from Korea. You can see some beautiful wood carvings on the wall of the Taichoro.
