TERAMACHI

The Teramachi district is located south of the city center, on the other side of the Saigawa River. One can walk through narrow streets and see a few temples here, including the Myōryū-ji Temple, famous for its labyrinthine corridors and hidden rooms, back stairs and secret tunnels. It is also called the "Temple of Ninjas" ("spy men"). You can also visit the Kutani Pottery Kosen Kiln in the same area. It is the only kiln where you can see the process of creating this type of porcelain.
