Open for more than 250 years, this traditional restaurant offers its customers the famous kaiseki cuisine with sansai (mountain greens). More specifically, the cuisine served here is called Sowaryu Honzen, which is based on the spirit of the tea ceremony. There are many rules for the selection of ingredients and seasonings as well as the arrangement of food in the dishes. These traditional rules have been followed by the establishment since 1794. The restaurant is beautiful. Reservations are essential.
