KAKUSHO

This beautiful restaurant is over two centuries old and has seen twelve generations of cooks, from father to son! All the facilities and gardens are listed as cultural properties of Takayama City. The restaurant offers vegetarian cuisine that is usually served in temples(shōjin-ryōri). The presentation is always stunning. Again, the cuisine adapts with seasonal ingredients. This excellent and very traditional establishment is popular and renowned. It is therefore advisable (if not mandatory) to make a reservation.
