KYŌYA

This very nice restaurant, with an old-fashioned tavern spirit, offers a very interesting and well-stocked menu, with menchi katsu, soba, trout, hoba miso (soybean paste cooked on a magnolia leaf) and absolutely divine omelettes. Some tables have their own built-in grill. For the greediest, a wagyu steak from Hida is on the menu for ¥4,500. The atmosphere is good-natured in this izakaya and the owners are polyglot, they will be delighted to say a little word for everyone in a multitude of languages.
