MUSEUM OF UKIYO-E OF JAPAN

It is undoubtedly the museum of Japan which contains the most prints. Indeed, the Sakai family has preserved more than one hundred thousand of them and you can see the technique of their elaboration. Compared to the size of the collection and the museum building, the number of works on display is rather small, as the building was originally built for storage and not for display. The English descriptions of the exhibits are brief. A must for ukiyo-e lovers.
