YAMATOGAWA SAKE BREWING

Sake lovers or curious, this address is for you. This brewery was founded in 1790, during the Edo period, and has never stopped producing it. The quality here is ensured by the clear mountain water from Mount Iide and the rice grown in the brewery's own rice fields and in the fields of carefully selected local farmers. This brewery/museum, which occupies seven kura in all, is well worth a visit. Here you can learn how the sake-making process has evolved since the Edo period. The free tour even includes a tasting.
