NIIBO MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND FOLKLORE

If you are passing through Niibo, you may want to stop by this small museum which has a variety of exhibits on the folk art, history and culture of Sado. Three forms of puppet theater have existed in Sado since ancient times, and today each has been designated as an important intangible folk and cultural asset in Japan. The museum also offers classes such as ancient jewelry making and recycled fabric weaving.
