Rebun-tō is a long island that stretches from north to south. If Rishiri-tō is a circular island dominated by the volcano, Rebun-tō has a relief made up of cliffs and rugged headlands. Two ferry terminals: Kafuka and Funadomari. The big attraction is making the trip from Sukoton Misaki to Moto-chi (Hachijikan haikingu Kōsu). This island is popular for two reasons: the variety of its landforms and the variety of its flowers. Indeed, one can go from rugged rocks and reliefs bordered by the sea to almost desert landscapes, from small plains of green and fat grasses to bamboo groves that are surrounded by dense coniferous forests. The steep cliffs along the west coast, where the prevailing westerly winds blow, contrast sharply with the gentle mountains leading to the east coast. Another feature is the seafood specialties. Surrounded by the sea, you can enjoy a fresh harvest from the sea, including sea urchins.
