Mount Moiwa (Moiwa-yama) is one of the many small wooded mountains located southwest of central Sapporo. The mountain is very popular with visitors who want to see the city below. The view from the observation point at the top is nothing short of spectacular. But it is especially beautiful after sunset when Sapporo lights up. The cable car climbs three-quarters of the way up to a transfer station. From there, a small funicular takes you to the top for ¥1800.
