KARTCHNER CAVERNS STATE PARK

Declared a State Park in 1988, the Kartchner Caverns are "active" caves, where water infiltration continues: limestone formations have been evolving drop by drop for over 200,000 years. Enthusiastic guides will take you on a 1h30 to 2h discovery tour. Inside, humidity is 99%. The tour comes to a climactic conclusion in the most spectacular caves, with formations sometimes reaching the height of a 4-storey building.
