Las Ahumaderas is a veritable cabinet of curiosities made up of different locals offering tortas, burritos and especially tacos, so much so that the place is nicknamed "Taco Alley" by passing Americans in search of the tastiest tacos in town. Set up in a row, these stands make your mouth water and attract passers-by with their intoxicating smell of grilled meat. The most difficult thing is to make a choice! Then, you sit down on a stool along the counter, in all simplicity. Popular and timeless since 1960.

The owners have been offering their renowned fish, seafood and shellfish specialties to a knowledgeable and loyal clientele for 20 years. The prices are equal to the quality: marlin tacos, crab claws, cahuamanta soup, etc. Disappointment is impossible. The place is also popular with Americans, since the prestigious Food & Wine magazine named Mariscos Ruben one of the best restaurants in the world in 2019.
