A city of 2.1 million inhabitants, Tijuana is part of the Tijuana-San Diego urban complex and marks an important border crossing with the United States. Its name is said to refer to Tía Juana, owner of the ranch that formed the embryo of the city.Nicknamed "the window of Mexico", this first border town is constantly in motion (tourism, migratory movements, nightlife...). Despite its bad reputation, it is one of the most visited cities in the world: more than 20 million visitors per year. Among its attractions: its Mediterranean climate, its beach cut in two by an iron curtain, the Basque pelota in Mexican style, bullfights, greyhound races and of course bars and clubs to dance all night. While visiting Tijuana, we'll take the opportunity to listen again to Charlie Mingus' superb and imperishable Tijuana Moods or Manu Chao's Welcome to Tijuana
