The best place after a surfing session! I’m from Italy and It was my first time in Huntington Beach. I was looking for a place for breakfast/brunch and here I found a great atmosphere and a lot of kindness. The burrito was big, tasty and amazing, served with smashed potatoes. I was so full and satisfied. The location is perfect and I really liked the staff. You can’t miss it if you are around!
We lucked out and were able to visit on a rainy day so it wasn't as busy! Overall enjoyed our meal. Eggs Benedict were not quite as good as I remember from a few years ago. Still highly recommend visiting!
Had grilled chicken and eggs w/ hashbrowns. Completely unseasoned, bland, dry chicken. Hashbrowns the same, I guess they rely on people slathering them with ketchup or something. Not sure how this place has rating this high, maybe I should have gotten something else? Look at the image I attached, does it even look appetizing???
Also, took waitress forever to come back to take our order, never brought out the setting and when they did after asking the hot sauce was empty and it was missing the salt & pepper. Then took the waitress forever to bring the check as we baked in the sun waiting.
Great place for kids and just to meet up. Bathroom is clean, food is fresh, atmosphere is great and overall, this is a great breakfast place. Sometimes there’s a wait but none today. Workers are really nice and if you’re hungry after a good surf, this is a great spot. Place looks clean and shirts are a good price. Overall I would give this an easy 10/10.
I decided to give this place a second try. First experience food was horrible. I tried oedering something different just incase the cook was having an of day in my first visit. On my second experience i have to say it's a great place to go to for the worst Omelet. Found Onion skin in my Omelet. The spinach tasted old and mushy. I personally would not recommend.
Amazing breakfast/brunch spot with amazing location! Good prices for even better food; thorough kids menu and family inspired menu items. 10/10 recommendation if downtown.
One of my favorite breakfast places, nothing fancy, just good basic diner style food. Sadly the prices match the location now and I haven't been able to afford to bring my family back here. From 6 to 10 to 12 to 17 dollars for the same item in less than 10 years. The 10 years before that it was always the same price. They are great people and I mean no ill will, I'm just bummed I can't take my family there anymore.
Sitting outside on a cold January day was wonderful. My friends and I all ate an omelet. We all got the vegetarian one and added bacon. Superb breakfast made as we asked. GREAT wait staff, knowledge and friendly.
Two stars for mediocre food selections, portions and high prices. For as much as I love the people behind our city's beloved Sugar Shack and those who work there every day, I am reluctant to leave a low review, but it needs to be stated that there are far better places to eat on main street where paying a premium price will get you far better food selections, portions for a more reasonable price. Finally, we were served waters with our meal in dirty cups. It looked like they were stained with OJ or something. Anyways, I don't think we will be returning.
