First time here for the 6 of us and each one of us claimed it was the best meals we've had in our 2 week stay in PS. Staff was superb and owner Ron stopped by our table and was entertaining. Highly recommend this restaurant
This restaurant is a long time favorite of locals, and you will get a well executed meal, a ginormous martini and a fairly priced bottle of wine served by friendly staff. When I go to the desert, this is the place I love to catch up with friends. The menu has standards, but also seasonal rotations and the lemon cake the other night was amazing!
I only made it to Jake's for drinks and dessert this time and was not disappointed. Looking at the entreés, I'm looking forward to sampling the food soon! Friendly and professional service and beautiful atmosphere.
This was my second time at Jake’s and enjoyed it just as much. The first time was a boozy brunch with girlfriends. This second time was a double date with friends.
We started with the fried calamari. It was solid.
I had the Chilean sea bass which was really good. My husband had the seafood pad Thai and he really enjoyed it. Our friends enjoyed their meals as well.
We ended with the hummingbird cake and he princess cake. Both were huge and tasty but nothing to write home about.
Overall this was a good experience and I look forward to going back.
Have been coming to Jake’s for the past few years when we visit Palm Springs, but our two visits this trip were superb! Had two brunch visits this week and they were both highlights of our trip. Service is always great, but brunch today was lovely; one of the server assistants remembered us from earlier in the week and was very sweet and lovely to our toddler. Drinks and entrees (French toast and Miami vice salad) were great, but the tots were the big hit! Make a reservation as it fills up quickly - you’ll be glad you did!
Really fantastic craft cocktail program. The lead bartender Juan developed the majority of the menu and be prepared to experience some new twists to your favorite cocktails. The "Sage It Ain't So" is an inventive cocktail with rye and tequila which actually pairs very well together.
On the food side, the General TSO Cauliflower was fantastic.
I look forward to experiencing more of the cocktail and food menu in future visits.
Jake's offers such a lovely relaxed vibe and has a beautiful courtyard that's tucked away from the street for a great experience dining al fresco.
My friend and I stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the (very filling!) ahi tuna salad, and the cobb salad. Both were delicious and very generous portions.
Though I didn't indulge this time, I highly recommend their Bacon Mary (bloody mary with bacon). And their other cocktails look and sound delicious, too.
If you go for lunch, they close at 2:00 and reopen at 5:00 for dinner. I hadn't realized this and we overstayed our welcome slightly, however the staff couldn't have been nicer about it! Will watch th clock more closely next visit.
Thank you for a beautiful lunch! I look forward to returning again soon.
Great drinks, great menu, great outdoor patio ambience. Very good service. We enjoyed the pitcher of white sangria. Delicious cake... large portions. A distinct experience you shouldn't miss.
It's a fun place for Sunday brunch. Great cocktails, good service and the best truffle fries.
Opinions on the food were mixed - 6/8 at our table enjoyed their selections, one was meh, and one, with an ahi salad was disappointed by wilted greens and an oily dressing which tasted like some key ingredients were missing. Maybe just a one off?
What a fantastic restaurant! We had never been here before, but heard great things from friends, & they were spot on! Decided to have brunch on Sunday, & was greeted warmly by the host, who seated myself, husband & pup. We sat outside due to our pet, and had heaters near us to keep us warm. The outside area is really charming & welcoming, love the whole garden look, its very fun. We ordered drinks, bloody mary cesar for me, & mimosa for hubby, & water & dog treats for my pup....that itself was an impressive touch. The staff was so friendly & very attentive to our needs, when asked for extras of an item. They really took very good care of us, & took our order of 2 delicious benedicts, that were OMG excellent...everything freshly made, breakfast potatoes' to die for, & yummy hollandaise. We were so impressed with everything. I can't recommend Jakes enough for brunch, but my friends who have come here for dinner, said it was always consistently delicious. So we will be back for dinner. And you should visit too!! Sooooo goood!!!
We were there for New Years. Their very limited nye menu has very few options. Mostly seafood. Unfortunately, We don't eat seafood. We did hear the meatloaf was amazing but we will never know.
