This is my go to place when I visit Palm Springs. Always great service and the food is xlnt quality....you get what you pay for! And our server Camden was exceptional.
Freundliches Personal.
The service and the ambiance were great however the food was not as good as it should be. The grilled chicken lacked flavor, the strawberry spinach salad was poorly made. The prices were too high for the quality of food.
First of all, a HUGE thank you to our host. He was incredible. They were so busy, I never had a chance to ask his name, but he was a legend. We had 12 people on a Thursday night, no reservation, and he got us in right away with 3 tables of 4 right by each other.
Our waiter wasn't that attentive, He was busy, but we could tell he just wasn't into working that night.
Food was very good. By the looks of it, the pizza is the best bang for your buck.
We were pretty high maintenance because we were at a conference and we all needed separate checks and I get that that can be a pain, but when you so close to a convention center, that's what's going to happen.
Everyone was happy with their meals and we left very satisfied.
They have food that is high and really expensive to midrange less expensive with a variety of styles of food. I would recommend coming here.
High end, high price establishment that has lost it's way. I should have been forewarned when our party of four heard a Home Depot ad while we got our wine. We had two good meals, two poor meals. I splurged and ordered Filet Medallions Oscar ($89.50). Got 3 smallish semi-tough pieces of steak with mash potatoes in the middle with some pieces of crab folded into the mashed potatoes (probably snow crab). I do know the recipe, and that's not it. Perhaps the chef was robbed from Sizzler. Asked to talk to the manager. He admitted 'we are too cheap to pay for the paid version of Pandora ($60/year). He also admitted the meal probably wasn't correct and would mention it to the chef. Comped me for my Mac and Cheese ($19). Draw your own conclusions.
The food was actually really good, but the host / servers seemed very confused despite it not being that busy. They should hire a manager to oversee things.
3/11/24: we went back as a group of 10 on a Monday evening and basically we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Our sever, Reyna, was helpful and offered replacement after she brought out a wrong item (thank you). Our friends enjoy the steak, the salad portion was generous, the sauteed mushrooms was very good. My Paella Valencia (really should be Mixed Paella, as it has both seafood and meat) was very good. My virgin pina colada was basically slushed ice with a pineapple flavor (not to order that again). The prices are on the high side.
2000: We ordered the lamb, salmon, and kofta kabob mezze's for lunch. The meats were over cooked, and the accompanied rice was dry. I wish that the cook/chef paid more attention to the foods before they got delivered to the table. We've been to all the restaurants at this intersection this past week and the Zin American Bistro was a much better place to eat at. Lulu and Kaiser got too complacent.
We brought out of town friends here and ended up being very disappointed. No great happy hour menu anymore and while we are on the subject we were only given 2 menus for a party of 4. The menu is awful! You should have the prices on the menu , to have to click on every item is just ridiculous! One of the pizzas crust was not cooked, very soggy. Sent it back and refunded. The server wasn't great either, had to keep leaving for questions. Not a good experience
Our dinner reservation was 5:30 PM on Saturday February 10, 2024. Everything was great!!! The food was delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere is always light and friendly. The star of the show last night was Palmer our server. She is an amazing person. She is warm, sweet, funny and very attentive to our needs. As we celebrated our daughter’s birthday, she made it extra special. Hooray for KG that have such an awesome person.
Absolutely a must if you’re visiting. We were referred to Kaiser by our hotel front desk. It was in walking distance (a plus!!). We walked thru the street fair, and got a seat promptly on the deck overlooking the activities. Our waiter was Nick and he made the experience AWESOME. He is so attentive, detailed and personable. I cannot recommend this place enough!!! We had the lobster ravioli and a steak, calamari as an app. Go to Kaiser and ask for Nick!!!!
After hearing how hard it is to get into many restaurants in Palm Springs we made a reservation well in advance. Turns out the place was almost completely empty and we were given too many choices on where we wanted to sit. Our hostess finally suggested a table back by the kitchen. Sounded fun until I saw the big stock pile of chairs that must have been fresh out of their crates. We were also on the main thoroughfare to the bathrooms so there was some foot traffic for that. Our server was great, but I was put off by the iPad menu. Too cumbersome to flip back and forth between options. Then there was there pricing, which my husband and I both felt was too high. The chicken piccata was good and my husband liked his steak but we passed on the appetizers to save 50.00. The drinks were expensive enough. I would not recommend, nor will I return to the Kaiser Grille.
We walked in by chance. What we had tasted good but if I was by myself, I would have walked out after seeing the prices. After eating we left with empty stomachs and wallet. Seriously, chicken piccata for $40? I've made it a few times at home. Takes about 10 minutes and costs maybe $5 for 2. And who the hell is going to pay $189 for a steak?
Good place for the outdoor patio. We went here for lunch and had the Mediterranean shrimp salad. It was a bit pricey for salad but the flavors were excellent.
