Parking is hard to get, construction doesn’t help finding this location but it is worth it although pricey. The only negative thing I have for this place is the water. It tastes like it’s coming straight out of the hose from outside. Not even tap water. Aside from that, the food and latte coffee were delicious! The special, chicken chilaquiles were surprisingly good! Spicy but tasted good! The single pancakes also great! The Madagascar vanilla latte perfect thanks to the server/cashier who made sure he made it perfect after seeing I was craving one! The straws are cheaply made.
Awesome delicious food! Gluten free options galore & gluten free pancakes! The build your own hashbrowns, holy goodness! The manager Kevin is super sweet & knowledgeable about celiac accommodations. Did I mention the hollandaise is gluten free too? ????
Great breakfast spot knowing for their build your own hash but I decided to try their French toast and it was superb. Topped it off with a nice spread of fresh fruit. Plan to go back for the hash. Super chill vibe as well.
Pretty decent spot and great location. We were the only ones there and it took quite a while to get the food. If you have allergies or are a picky eater, make sure to confirm everything that comes with a dish because the menus don’t show all items. Don’t order hot chocolate from here either
Dawn Patrol in Santa Barbara is a breakfast haven. Their spicy chai is a flavor-packed delight, and the Patrol Combo offers a perfect mix of morning favorites. But the real star is the "build your own hash" option, allowing you to create a customized breakfast masterpiece.
It's a must-visit spot for breakfast enthusiasts, offering a delicious and customizable start to your day.
Came here for breakfast, and the food was just okay. Not bad, but not very flavorful and nothing exciting about it. The pancakes were about as average as they come. The restaurant itself seemed a bit rundown (broken chairs, peeling tables, etc). Again, not terrible, just very average. If the food was cheap, it would be worth it, but we paid over 50 dollars for 2 meals a coffee and an OJ.
This is a very tough place to find if you don't know where it is. Its very close to what used to be Casa Blanca. Its a great breakfast or brunch place. The food is pretty good and the service is great. The lines can get out of hand though and I thought the wait was the only downside. Time it right and you can have a sweet spot for some early morning grinds.
Excellent California style breakfast spot tucked away on State Street. Highlights are the friendly staff, the fast service, and customizable “build your hash” breakfast meals.
Service is fast and friendly here because you order at the counter. Once ordered, you can sit down and wait for your food and enjoy paid for but unlimited coffee and enjoy the views. We ate quickly and everyone was friendly.
The food is also excellent here. The customizable hash and egg plates are really good and come with a small spring mix salad and toast! They have everything from breakfast burritos to skillets and healthy options. I trust every dish here is delicious. I highly recommend the hash plates!
I’d highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast and or lunch. It’s pricey like most things in Santa Barbara but worth it!
Got the Japanese omelette special, it was phenomenal. Eggs so fluffy and soft, I’m not sure I’ll ever have an egg so good :(. I wish I could cast it in resin and keep it on my shelf to remember this egg. The pancake was good too. The staff were very helpful and kind. Overall 10/10 brunch experience.
Overall not a bad experience but may not return.
Read enough reviews about DP & you will get a sense it's an average tasting experience, with great service , and fairly expensive cost given the food you will receive.
Service was great. attentive , and food came out promptly.
Whenever I’m in Santa Barbara Dawn Patrol is a must! The food is A+, the service is pleasant and accommodating and the vibe is exactly what you want after a night of fun in SB. Highly recommend- also east on and off the 101 for those looking for a quick pit stop up and down the coast.
Had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. The food was presented beautifully, but flavor wise it was just basic…guess I expected it to taste as good as it looked. I’m no chef, but the addition of a good Boursin cheese here would have made the difference!! Not only would it have added to the overall flavor profile of the dish, but it would have helped the vegetables stay inside of the role as you cut in it to eat it versus falling out immediately, as it did, without anything to adhere to.
Maybe they will read this and consider and if so, I’d be happy to give it a shot and report back! ????
We had breakfast here and it was so good! There were so many choices on the menu, and all sounded so good that it was hard to choose. My latte was one of the best I have had. They roast their own coffee as well.
Fun, chill vibe. Casual and laid back with great service. I would be here all the time if I lived in the area.
They offer indoor and outdoor seating with a great variety of choices on their menu.
From New Mexico visiting , great service, great food and serving size. Staff is great delicious food and not crowded even for a Saturday breakfast. Thanks
