20 km north of Idjevan, you have to leave the main road leading to Noïemberian, at Azatamout, and take a small path on the right, in less elevated and still wooded mountains, to discover the beautiful monastery of Makaravank. An isolated region, with little infrastructure, that only Noïemberian, located in the lowest plain of the country, puts in contact with Georgia, or the Debet valley.
