MAISON DES ECRIVAINS

Ideally located on the peninsula among the pine trees at the foot of the Sevanavank, the establishment is lulled by the memory of Armenian writers, but also of Sartre, Beauvoir, Mandelstam and Bitov, who stayed in these places designed in the 1950s to welcome people of letters. Long abandoned, the building, which was at the forefront of Soviet modernism, with its bay windows and overhanging rotunda, has been restored and welcomes tourists, to whom it offers room and board, in a Soviet decor, but with an unobstructed view of the lake!
